In 2001, I recorded "The Solar System" as one of the songs on my Library Boogie CD. It was popular, and I developed a way to perform in in concert where I put a model of the solar system on my head. (You can see a short clip of that solar system model on the Otter and Moo puppet video that I did.)

In August 2006, Astronomers decided Pluto was no longer a planet. I got phone calls and emails asking me what I was going to do about the song, which contained the line:
"Last is Pluto, so far away
It never sees a sunny day"

I didn't want to take Pluto out of the song entirely, so I wrote a new line:

"Last is Pluto, it's so far out
Scientists say it doesn't count"

In January of 2010, I decided to produce an Enhanced version of the Library Boogie CD, in order to put "The Elephant's Lullaby" music video on it. Since I was re-mastering the CD anyway, I thought it would be a good time to record that new line about Pluto.

So it came about in February of 2010, with the help of Scott B. Adams http://www.orchardbeat.com that I recorded the revised line. The new "Solar System (8 Planet Version)" is now available on the latest Library Boogie [Enhanced] CD, available from TomKnight.com.

Thanks for watching!
