Touring on their third release, New Atlantis, Plus Perfect find themselves moving from influences like Bruce Springsteen and Elvis Costello into uncharted waters. Evolving from a riff-laden, power/pop-punk sound into a more spacious, watery and and sun-drenched creature, Plus Perfect explore their sonic landscape without turning their backs on the humble three chord charm of their predecessors. And while gutteral vocals, Fender Strats, and frolicking basslines remain fixtures for the band, the spaced out keyboard atmosphere and a giant-yet-speculative percussion section make this four piece something relatively hard to define.
