DETAILS OF TRACKS ARE :
1 - CIRCUS OF THE ABSURD [EDIT] -
This is a crazy opener for the album showcasing the keyboard work of Andy and the often overlooked backing guitars of Tony, the lyrics can be in your head or real.depends if you are already crazy !!
2 - GHOSTS OF YEARS -
A simple song about all the things we wished we had said to our loved ones when often its too late, but remembering they are always in our hearts forever.
3 - BLACK SUN -
This track is about the end ARMAGGEDON, the self realisation that we can do nothing about it ! Abuse our world and it will certainly remember with a vengence. The B3 Hammond playing by Andy Wells in this piece deserves a Grammy.
4 - PERFECT UNIVERSE PART 1
5 - PERFECT UNIVERSE PART 2 -
The opposite to the end is of course the beginning, in this 2 part piece we have tried to capture the birth of innocence, of new life and pure love, peace and enjoyment, we think Tony Drake captures that with a breathtaking guitar solo in part 2.
6 - BELIEVE ME NOW -
Just a great rock song about mans vision for the future he wants for everyoneis anyone listening ? TURN UP TO 11 !
7 - SONG OF THE ALBATROS -
We were trying to capture the mood of flight on this track, of perfect peace these beautiful birds experience in flight - basically a Piano and Mellotron Instrumental. Quote from Guitarist Tony Drake "In the Wah guitar solo near the end I tried to capture the soaring and diving of the bird in flight - hope it worked".
8 - REBORN "LIVE" -
Recorded "LIVE" in the early days of Pilgrym, this track has been played by most of the bands Tony has played in, it is paying tribute to everyone who has taken up arms to defend a cause or a country that they believe in it is of course very relavent to 2010 "Soldiers live to fight again".
9 - UNKNOWN SOLDIER [EDIT] -
This is the third part of a four part suite due to be included on the forthcoming "The Great Divide" CD due out Summer 2010. The only vocal piece from the suite, the other parts are Instrumental. Great keyboard work from Andy Wells and a beautiful guitar solo from Tony Drake.
10 - CRUEL -
This track is taken from Andy Well's solo CD "Lost The Will To Play", recorded at the same time as "Pilgrimage" it nearly made that album !! A great song from Andy about the inhumanity and suffering man heaps on his fellow man.

BOTH ANDY WELLS AND TONY DRAKE WILL TRY AND KEEP THIS SITE UPDATED APOLOGIES DUE TO RECORDING AND SOLO COMMITMENTS.

RECORDING IS NEARLY COMPLETE on the second Pilgrym offering, "The Great Divide". Keep your eyes open for more news on the upcoming release, news on a record label will follow soon.
WE ARE WORKING HARD TO GET NEW ALBUM OUT FOR EARLY SUMMER 2011 !
The seeds of Pilgrym were sown in 2001, with a chance meeting between Andy Wells and Tony Drake in a Bradford music store. They got talking and realised that over the years they'd played the same circuits and seen each other play, but never spoken. Andy asked Tony to lay down some guitar on his album Lost The Will To Play. Since then, it's been a natural musical progression to the Pilgrym project - and now to their debut album - Pilgrimage.
Andy Wells has previously toured the UK and Europe with John Verity and played on three consecutive Verity albums. From there, Andy moved on to Baby Tuckoo and the very successful Voyager. Andy has written for such stars as Huey Lewis and Lisa Stanfield, and played with Mike Rutherford, Sarah Brightman and Junior.
Tony Drake played with the Ckreed Blues Band in 1967 and gigged the UK with them until late '68 - when he moved to London to "make it". He's played all the major venues, including support slots for T Rex, Thin Lizzy and Yes. His own band Iron Duke had Lawrence Juber from Wings on guitar and John Elliss (The John Elliss Quarter) on Hammond. Rudy and The Zipps followed from the ashes of Be Bop Deluxe and were pipped at the post at EMI auditions by Sparks.

"Creedy" joined Pilgrym full time in December 2006. He goes straight into the studio to complete the much-anticipated Great Divide album. Creedy is also working on a solo project called The Privileged Vagabond.
