DESCRIPTION:
Having trouble changing guitar chords? Here are a bunch of tips to help you improve your chord changes.

First step is to make sure you can play the chord really clean and clear. Don't worry about the strum pattern at this stage. Next, when you're changing chords, watch your hand really closely and pay attention to the fingers and how they're moving. You're better off to play the chords slowly, and make sure you get your fingers in the right spot, than you are to hurry though and have your playing sound sloppy.

Regarding bar chords, part of the secret is to pick a bar chord that is as close as possible to where you're coming from. Don't be sliding all over the fretboard if you don't have to, at this stage.

Don't feel bad about really putting in some effort on getting your chord changes down - time spent on this topic will really pay off later on, when you want to learn songs and play faster.
