I Picaroon's Spark nascono nel novembre del 2002, da un'idea di Gino Binchi (Batteria), che coinvolge subito nel progetto due suoi amici, accomunati dalla stessa passione per la musica: Andrea Recinelli (Chitarra ritmica e solista) e Luca Marconi (Voce). Dopo una breve ricerca trovano gli altri due elementi mancanti alla formazione: Aldo Quartapelle (Chitarra ritmica) e Giorgio Taraschi (Basso).
Lo scopo della band e' quella di emergere con la creazione di musica originale, perciò il lavoro e' da subito intenso e produttivo. Nel maggio del 2004 la band decide di andare in studio per incidere il primo demo, dal nome "The Battle of Life", contenente quattro tracce, che riceve ottime recensioni da parte di molte Webzines italiane e da parte di riviste specializzate.
Nel frattempo la composizione continua e inizia anche l'attivita' live nei locali e nelle varie zone della provincia, facendo cosi' conoscere la propria musica.
Nell'aprile-maggio del 2005 il gruppo incide il primo full-length, dal nome "Life,death.eternity", contenente dieci tracce.
Nello stesso anno i Picaroon's Spark partecipano al concorso nazionale "Emergenza Festival" arrivando fino alla finale regionale, tenutasi a Pescara il 10 luglio, e piazzandosi al secondo posto.
Dal 28 al 30 del mese di luglio il gruppo partecipa al concorso nazionale "Fuoritempo" vincendolo e aggiudicandosi cosi il premio, consistente nella registrazione di un Demo-tape in uno studio professionale di Roma.
Nel settembre del 2005 avviene un piccolo cambio di Line-Up. Giorgio se ne va ed arrivano Ignazio Semproni (Basso) e Paolo Di Rocco (Tastiere).
Nel marzo e nell'aprile del 2006 i Picaroon's Spark partecipano rispettivamente, alla prima edizione del concorso provinciale "Save the Music" e "Teramo Music Festival", vincendoli e aggiudicandosi così il primo premio di entrambi. Grazie alla vittoria di quest' ultimo, il gruppo ha la possibilità di incidere un nuovo demo e di suonare sullo stesso palco di Paola Turci e della Bandabardò il giorno successivo (30 aprile 2006), in occasione dell'evento"Aspettando il 1° Maggio", durante il quale vengono premiati dall'assessore alla cultura e spettacolo di Teramo e si esibiscono davanti a più di duemila persone.
Dal 3 all'8 del mese di giugno il gruppo partecipa, dopo aver superato le selezioni nazionali, al "Music Village", grazie al quale si esibisce davanti a discografici, critici e produttori musicali, riscuotendo un buon successo sia dalla critica, che dagli altri gruppi presenti.
Da giugno ad agosto 2006, partecipa al concorso nazionale "Woodstck's Sons & Devil's Reject", tenutosi a Porto D'Ascoli (Ap) vincendolo ed aggiudicandosi il primo premio, riscuotendo un buon successo di pubblico e ricevendo ottimi giudizi dalla giuria presente.
Il 9 novembre 2006 partecipa ad un nuovo concorso che ha luogo presso l' "Ultraviolet" di Teramo e si aggiudica anche qui il primo premio.
Il 17 marzo 2007 partecipano alla finale regionale del concorso “1° maggio tutto l’anno”, ma purtroppo non riescono ad accedere alla finale nazionale.
Il 21 giugno 2007 i Picaroons sono vincitori del "Summer Season Opening" a Mattinata (FG), ricevendo ottimi consensi dal pubblico e dalla giuria presente.
Per il momento continuano a suonare nei locali e nei concorsi ai quali accedono, sempre sperando di trovare quel qualcosa in più che li porti a fare il passo di qualità!!
Nel settembre dello stesso anno Ignazio lascia i Picaroon’s Spark, a causa dei suoi impegni che non gli permettono di seguire la band al cento per cento, lo split avviene in totale serenità, infatti i rapporti sono totalmente immutati! Buona fortuna Iggy!!
Partecipano contemporaneamente al Tour Music Fest, concorso nazionale che li ha visti arrivare fino alle semifinali.
Nello stesso periodo rientra nella formazione una vecchia conoscenza della band, Giorgio Taraschi. Di nuovo a bordo, il gruppo riprende a fare prove e comporre brani, finchè sempre a settembre i Picaroon’s Spark firmano un contratto discografico con la Videoradio di Giuseppe Aleo, per la distribuzione nazionale del cd che vedrà la luce a dicembre 2007, con il titolo “Nightfeast in highfires wood”. Ora l’obbiettivo primario è promuovere al meglio la propria musica, cercando di trovare sempre più live e di crearsi uno spazio per far diventare la “scintilla un fuoco molto alto”.
Dopo aver raggiunto questi piccoli obbiettivi, la voglia di continuare è sempre più viva.

The band was created in November of 2002 by Gino Binchi, who was urged by his great will of play his own music. Immediately Andrea Recinelli and Luca Marconi joined the band and after a short time Giorgio Taraschi and Aldo Quartapelle joined the band too and so they started their journey!!!
There is a lot of feeling between the members of the band and the ideas are many, so songs were composed very fastly!!!
In the years the band performs in several zones and clubs of its city, making their music known to the people.
In May of 2004 they record their first Demo, called “The battle of life” and between April and may of 2005 they record their first full-length , called “Life, death…eternity”.
In the same year the band takes part in a national concourse ”Emergenza Festival”, arriving at the regional final, that took place in Pescara on 10th of July, coming second.
From the 28th to the 30th of July 2005 the band takes part in another national concourse called “Fuoritempo”, that took place in Fabriano, winning the first prize.
In Semptember of the same year there is a little change of line-up. Giorgio leaves and Paolo Di Rocco and Ignazio Semproni arrive.
In March 2006 the band take part and wins another concourse, called “Save the music”.
On the 29th of April 2006 the band take part and wins another concourse, called “Teramo Music Festival”, so it has the possibility to play on the same stage of Paola Turci (an Italian pop-singer) and Bandabardò (an Italian folk band) on the 30th of April 2006 for the event “Aspettando il primo maggio” (Waiting for the 1st of May). So the band plaied in front of more than seven- thousand people.
From the 3rd to the 8th of June, they take part in “Music Village”, after having passed the national selections, and so they play on front of record-company, music critics and musical producers, receiving great success both from critics and from the other bands.
From June to August 2006 the band takes part and wins another national concourse, called “Woodstock's Sons & Devil's Reject”, winning the first prize and receiving great success from people and from critics. On the 9th of november the band takes part and wins another regional concourse.
In March 2007 the band takes part to a national concourse, called "1° maggio tutto l'anno" (the 1st of May the whole year), but it isn't selected for the national phase, even if the band receives good votes.
On the 21st of June they win another contest called "Summer season Opening" in Mattinata (Fg), receiving very good success from the public and from the judges present for the event.
In this moment the band continues in taking gigs and in taking part to concourses in which it is involved, always hoping to find something that could make the “great step”.
In September of the same year Ignazio leaves Picaroon’s Spark, because he can’t follow anymore the band as he did before. The split is very friendly, in fact the relationship remains unchanged! Good luck Iggy!
Meanwhile the band takes part to another concourse, called Tour Music Fest, arriving at the national semi-final.
In this period Giorgio Taraschi joins again the band, and Picaroon’s Spark begins one more time to make rehearsal and to compose new songs, until, always in Semptember, they sign a discographic deal for Videoradio of Giuseppe Aleo, so they see their new album “Nightfeast in highfires wood”, that will be out in December 2007, distributed all around Italy. Now the goal is more clearer than ever. To promote their music all around, trying to perform more and more to create their own space in the music scene, to make a “spark become a high fire” .
After having reached this little targets, the will of going on is alive more than ever…
