DESCRIPTION:
This piece was created to help me demonstrate my intentions to create a video podcast featuring the creative community with whom I have worked over the last 15 years. This pilot episode was shot at the Shadow Lounge in December of 2012 and features me with my band "Phat Man Dee and The Cultural District". The musicians featured are Carlos Peña (guitar), Tony DePaolis (bass) and Miguel Sague III (vocals/conga). The dancer featured is world renowned dancer/choreographer Olivia Kissel. My final guest artist is Taino shaman and original bandleader of Guracha Latin Dance Band, Miguel Sague Jr. (guitar/vocal) appearing with his son, Miguel Sague III (current bandleader of Guaracha Latin Dance Band). It is my hope that this video will enable others to see my vision of a show wherein I shall curate and host a series of performances to be captured and shared with the world. I shall showcase the incredible community of talent which resides in Pittsburgh, PA. I have been blessed to learn from some of the best and I wish to share us all with all who would see and hear our songs. One love, Phat Man Dee.
