DESCRIPTION:
At the end of the day, nothing beats raw, stripped-back minimal halfstep and there are very few who do it as well as Perverse. The bare bones drum work and purposeful, chest caving kicks on 'Undergrowth' carve out such a deep, spatial vibe full of swing and movement. Add in a few sparsely applied growls and a tense, almost cinematic backdrop, and we have got ourselves a properly heavy badman riddim -- one most definitely for the heads.
