Time ages her like wine
stands like a mountain tested by time
calloused hands and everything
she touches turns to gold

she's everything I need to say
she's everything I am today

She has her kids but it's not the same
she found her family in a lonely song
the notes invited her into their home

she's in every note I try to play
she's in every song I sing today

Years find a way to tear us down
and she always seems to find her smile
and says "that's life son, carry on"
so I learned to find my way, to smile.
