Gus Harrower, 17 years old from Edinburgh is the winner of The Song Academy Young Songwriter 2016 competition, 13-18 year category. This video was taken at Paul Stanborough's studio to record his winning song 'Wanderin' Man.

FROM THE WHITE HOUSE TO WESTFIELD… MILLION-SELLING ARTIST RUMER TO PERFORM WITH UK’S TOP YOUNG SONGWRITERS AT FREE LONDON EVENT

Acclaimed singer-songwriter and Brit Award nominee, Rumer has confirmed that she will perform on 12 June at Westfield, London, alongside top young songwriters aged 8 to 18 from across the UK and Ireland. Rumer, who is supported by leading music industry figures including Burt Bacharach, Elton John and Jools Holland, and has appeared at a host of prestigious locations including the White House in Washington DC, will perform ‘Reach Out’ with her husband, musical director Rob Shirakbari. Co-headliner Cassidy Janson, who is currently starring in the West End as Carole King in the smash hit Beautiful The Musical, will perform one of Carole’s hit songs. The Westfield event will showcase the winners, runners-up and highly commended entrants of the Song Academy 2016 Young Songwriter competition. Many of the competition judges will be in attendance, including top producer Paul Stanborough, who’s worked alongside the highly respected Guy Chambers, with some of the most prominent names in the industry, from Kylie Minogue to Robbie Williams, Britney Spears to Tinie Tempah.
