DESCRIPTION:
(Cleveland, Ohio, September 13, 2013) -- Boland Entertainment Group and Get Well Gabby Concerts in association with the Get Well Gabby Foundation presented the second annual Believe in a Cure Concert sponsored by Cleveland Whiskey on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the legendary Cleveland Agora. The event featured Gin Blossoms, a band that defined the 90s era post-grunge pop rock experience with "Hey Jealousy," "Found Out About You" and the Top Ten Billboard pop hits "Till I Hear It From You" and "Follow You Down." The lineup also included special musical guest Pat McGee, and performances by Jay Patrick Boland & The Members Only Band, The Allen ILG Band, Matthew Knabe (former lead singer of the national touring band, Ligion), and Sara from the Fox Sports Ohio Girls who hosted the event.

The Believe in a Cure Concert Event was founded by Jay Boland, a Cleveland native, financial analyst and musician whose entrepreneurial spirit runs deep in his family. The idea for this concert series arose from Boland's search to find a way to leverage his passion and knowledge of music and finance for a worthy cause. The first annual Believe in a Cure took place in Kent, OH in 2012.

After John and Carolynn Vogel lost their five-year old daughter, Gabriella, to a rare form of brain
cancer in September of 2011, they formed The Get Well Gabby Foundation in her honor and memory. The Get Well Gabby Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission of funding research for childhood cancer, raising awareness, and assisting families that have been given this devastating news. Childhood cancer is grossly underfunded as it is considered rare by many large cancer organizations. On average, every single day 46 children are diagnosed with a form of cancer, and 7 children will succumb to their disease.
