VISIT PAT AT www.PATHOLLEY.COM PAT HOLLEY was born a singer in Wytheville,VA. She grew up in NJ, moved to NYC in her early 20‘s and found an agent who kept her busy singing, mostly playing piano for herself. Eventually settling on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, she immediately developed a sizable and loyal following of night people and music lovers who couldn’t afford to see Bobby Short at The Carlyle.
HER REPERTOIRE consisted of standards and rarely heard gems of the American Songbook, jazz favorites, and her own original compositions. Her early recordings were independently produced and never widely distributed.
IN 1970 she stopped singing, married and began teaching voice. She honed her record production skills, studied arranging at City College, and studied theory and composition at The Juilliard School.
IN 1975 she divorced and returned to singing.
A DECISION TO COMPLETELY RETIRE from singing came in 1986, and for the next 21 years, she concentrated full time on her other musical disciplines.
BY 2007 she could no longer suppress her natural desire to sing and so she independently produced her first full CD, “Invitation.”
EARLY IN 2009, no longer playing piano for herself, she made a guest appearance with the late guitar legend, Les Paul at NY’s Iridium Jazz Club. That resulted in an invitation to sing there with The Tommy Morimoto Big Band. They wrote two shows called “Collage.”
AN INVITATION to sing at The Triad NYC followed. Pat wrote “Broadway Meets Jazz” for her performance there in November, 2009.
SHE WROTE “Tall Songs and Forgotten Gems” for her appearance at New York’s Metropolitan Room in February 2010. All shows were highly successful.
PAT HOLLEY’S PLANS are to continue singing as long as her gift serves her and enthralls her listeners.ARRANGING SONGWRITING THEATER

In 1987 PAT HOLLEY wrote, arranged and co-orchestrated, for a 24 piece orchestra, 19 Gershwin songs for (70’s and 80’s) Metropolitan Opera star, Shirley Verrett.
This concert was presented by RAI/TV and Franco Zeffirelli in Positano, Italy. It was also presented in Verona and Rome, Italy as well as Moscow, Russia. In 1988 Pat expanded the concert for a production in New Orleans.
Also she wrote encore arrangements of Rodgers and Hammerstein songs for Ms. Verrett’s ongoing classical concerts.
In the early 70‘s Pat wrote 5 songs for Stephanie Mills, the young star of Broadway’s “The Wiz.” Three of these songs have been re-released by Universal and MCA Records and continue to sell today.
Throughout the mid 90‘s and until 2005 Pat continued development of her new musical entitled ME AND CAESAR LEE. She wrote the book, music and lyrics.
Currently she is working on a song concert version of ME & CAESAR LEE, to be produced next spring.
