SMT Music News - Brandon Ashley The Dark - Rising from the shadows of Los Angeles, The Dark is the latest audio sensation to hit the underground club scene. In early 2011 The project known as "Brandon Ashley" took on a whole new direction and reappeared into the scene as The Dark.

Singer Brandon Ashley along with fellow Italian Sonny Lanegan (bass guitar) soon to be joined by Eli James (drummer ), guitarist Adam Vex and keyboardist Tom Napack to deliver a "wall of sound" to the audience.Deriving inspiration from his home town of Turin, Brandon brings forth a mysterious and dark air to his lyrics and a fashionable and artistic flair to the live show.

The five piece band has electronic sensibility with the use of unconventional electronic processing and heavily distorted guitars with format friendly songs that have true commercial value reminiscent of edgy electronic bands such as Nine Inch Nails and The Prodigy.

Managed by Jonny Coffin (owner of Coffin Case). The Dark has opened new marketing doors and has a roll out plan involving major music chains, TV networks, and a visual campaign in the works. "We are extremely lucky to be positioned in the industry to find new and creative ways to market the band directly to the end user " says Coffin.

Currently The Dark is in the studio recording their debut album which will feature a few notable special guest performances, to be revealed in the near future.
