DESCRIPTION:
Written and produced by Murray Wilson
It's now part of rock and roll folklore that as Murray Wilson was winding down his involvement with the Beach Boys, he turned his attention to another local group. He renamed them the Sunrays and wrote both sides of their first 45, which was also the first 45 issued on the Capitol subsidiary, Tower.
"Outta Gas"/"Car Party" didn't chart but the follow up did; the now classic "I Live For The Sun", written by group member, Rick Henn.
