LOST SOULS SYNOPSIS


With an intemperate, unquenchable passion for music and stardom that reached the heights of the stratosphere, William Black Jr. unleashed an unparalleled music career in the late 1960’s and 1970s as an International recording star and hit songwriter. He played to sold out arenas, sold multi-platinum records, performed for presidents and royalty alike, and single-handedly built a catalogue that left an indelible mark on history.

But in stark contrast to the life that brought him an unprecedented amount of success and musical immortality, William’s ‘real’ life was almost unrecognizable. Suffering from a mental disorder that left him struggling to differentiate between reality and fantasy, William believed he was in fact a soul super star – but in reality, he was a young man, living in the basement apartment of his sister and brother in laws house and pinching pennies to make ends meet and dreaming of a fantasy world that would lead him to his musical salvation.
