From the 80's Channel 4 TV show 'Unforgettable'

Pinkerton's Assorted Colours formed as a British pop band in 1964 and their first single release, 'Mirror, Mirror' which was written by Tony Newman, was a top ten hit. The first line up of the band included Samuel 'Pinkerton' Kemp on autoharp and vocals, Tony Newman on rhythm guitar, Tom Long on lead guitar, Barrie Bernard on bass and John Wallbank on the drums. Their manager was originally Reginald Calvert and after no more hit singles, the band were later dubbed as one hit wonders.
