Currently conducted by Dr. Christopher Jackson, the Lycoming College Tour Choir has a long history of quality performances throughout the United States. Since its inception in 1947 by Walter McIver, the choir has presented concerts in every state east of the Mississippi River, California, Canada, Puerto Rico, Argentina, and across Europe. The choir tours nationally each year and internationally every three years. Most recently, in 2010, the choir had a 10-day tour throughout Argentina.

In its seven decades of music, the Lycoming College Choir has performed hundreds of concerts including appearances at the National Cathedral, the Washington Shrine, the Crystal Cathedral, Coral Ridge, and New York City's St. John the Divine and St. Patrick's Cathedral. The choir has been featured twice in the Holiday Celebrations at the White House. The ensemble has sung with the Gregg Smith Singers, the Chieftains, and Barry Manilow. In 2013, the choir released its 10th CD, "Favorites: 1976-2013," which chronicled selections from previous director Fred Thayer's tenure.

The Tour Choir is selected each year by competitive audition from the 115-voice College Choir, which is comprised of students from all academic fields. Approximately 40 students are chosen annually to perform with the Tour Choir. Lycoming's third choral ensemble is the Chamber Choir, which performs a diverse repertoire ranging from vocal jazz to major works.

Lycoming College is an independent coeducational college of 1,400 students enrolled in 36 majors. The College is ranked by U.S. News and World Report as a national liberal arts college. Located in Williamsport, PA, the college is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
