The TENG Company is a collective of visionary and award-winning Singaporean Chinese instrumentalists who have come together to promote and provide for the outreach, education and awareness of Chinese instrumental music to the world.

Started by Chinese musicians themselves, the company aims to spur and deepen the interests of Chinese music among the masses, and aspires to bring Chinese instrumental music to the world with their brand of vitality, gregariousness, multi-lingualism and music - transcending the barriers of language and cultural centrism.

The core ensemble of the company, The TENG Ensemble consists of young and accomplished Singaporean musicians who joined forces as an intercultural ensemble to revolutionize perceptions of Chinese music. With their idiosyncratic look and sound, which features live music played on traditional instruments against electronic backing tracks, the ensemble has sold out two full concerts and been invited to perform at prestigious events such as the 5th ASEAN Arts & Culture Ministers' Meeting, 20th World Orchid Conference, Wan Qing CultureFest, 11th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, Singapore HeritageFest, Shanghai World Expo, Youth Olympic Games Village and Night Festival 2009 among many others.
