DESCRIPTION:
I love this song. I originally recorded this tune around nine years ago when when I was delving into punkish power pop. I love power pop....especially girl bands. Anyway, I dusted off the old tracks and took a listen. Not bad. However, I rerecorded the vocals and one guitar track with the same gear I used back then. (Les Paul into a Mesa DC2 through a Marshall 1965a cabinet.) As with all my stuff, I played and sang all of the parts except for a cheesy, crappy drum track I built on an SR-16. (It sux but whatcha gonna do without a drummer.) In the opening, I played a Danelectro 12 on one channel and a Rickenbacker 360 in the other channel. I used my daughter's Korg keyboard for the opening riff. Throw a few cartoons and photos in there and voile....a fun and upbeat song. Moral of the story?...Ya live and love and lose and eventually love again.
