Resistors, Part 2: Power and Wattage Requirements, Practical Applications of Ohm's Law - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 13, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
In this Part 2 of a 4-part video series discussing the function and measurement of resistors in amplifier circuits, we will discuss the concept of Power.....what it means in electrical circuits and how it can be calculated using Ohm's Law formulas. Determination of minimum wattage rating for resistors is discussed, and a practical demonstration of the application of Ohm's Law to the measurement of plate current in an output tube (by two separate methods) is demonstrated in detail using a nice, original 1960 Gretsch 6150 amp. As a sidelight, the concept of Screen Current is explained. For pet lovers, Rusty takes a tough quiz, and Jack faces an attack by an angry mini-drone.
