DESCRIPTION:
Frank owned this masterfully memorable classic composition by Cole Porter —Though, with all due respect to every other one of Mr. Sinatra's numerous recordings of "I've Got You Under My Skin", this one from the legendary performances at The Sands Hotel, from January 26th through February 1st, 1966, is the definitive moment of artistic expression —New life is breathed into Nelson Riddle's original arrangement (already dripping with Cole Porter urbane sophistication) by musical director, Quincy Jones—Especially for this gig, Maestro Jones, smartly, remains faithful to Frank's original, however, on this version, he's got 'em swingin' like mad!

You've got Frank, in the full flowering of his vocal mastery, takin' it to the edge —And, Sonny Payne on drums doing an unbelievable job of, both, locking down a rhythmic cadence tempo, that of a nice 'n easy swing, as well as leading the band down a path of free-flowing reckless abandon ...My fave part? —during the build toward the musical bridge when Frank warns the audience: —"Run For Cover ...Run & Hide" —And, indeed, I'll say it again to you" —"Run for cover, Run & Hide, Folks!" ...Here comes Frank, Quincy, The Count & The Boys"...
