Securing the services of John Graham, under his legendary Quivver production guise, the FutureForm imprint signalled its intent to provide the world with a brand of highly credible dance music from the very outset. Taking the real progressive scene by storm, "The Fog" was a masterpiece of strong driving rhythms combined with a lilting groove and cavernous bass hook to leave dance floors swaying en masse. Techno remixes from Finnish maestro, Cid Inc and Brazilian rising superstar, DNYO, upped the ante further with their unique and supremely impressive interpretations. Now Quivver's "The Fog" receives two further remixes courtesy of Greek prodigy, Kassey Voorn.

With an impressive portfolio of releases already under his belt for the likes of Proton, Lowbit and Inkfish, Athenian Kassey Voorn's success in remix contests for both Guy Gerber's "Timing" (with fellow Greek Pete McCarthey) and Guy J's "Azimuth", for Cocoon and Bedrock respectively, provided a further catalyst to launch the Greek into the highest echelons of production credibility. 100 Beat production credits to his name and further work signed to leading labels such as Vapour, Replug and microCastle, testify that Kassey Voorn is a man at the very top of his game and a much sought after producer and DJ in an increasingly crowded arena.

Taking on "The Fog", Kassey has provided FutureForm with two diverse and simply stunning remixes. The first marks a return to his "Vintage" sound first seen on his wonderfully emotive interpretations of Luke Porter's "Opiate" on Sudbeat and Kasey Taylor's "Out With The Old" on Vapour. A classic floor-filling progressive sound thus forms the basis of Kassey's "Vintage" remix of Quivver. A strong beat accompanied by a rhythm section crafted with the skill of a surgeon's scalpel, cuts through the mix while euphoric chord progressions and lush pads are juxtaposed against the precisely rhythmic stabs that provide further rhythmic joy against the deep emotive bass line and effortless melody. This is an epic sound that demands full attention and deserves immense credit.

By contrast, Kassey Voorn's "Techno" mix is a dark brooding and hypnotic affair. A vocal cut at regular intervals, rises above the straight rhythms and pounding beats at before a sublime glassy, plucked sound provides a further immaculate, rhythmic component that locks itself into a groove as tight as the proverbial drum. Heightening the tension further still, a rising, pitch modulated lead sound is the final cog in a meticulously constructed machine to play its part before a 'drop' of momentous proportions signals a return to beat-laden domination, sure to drive dance floors to a seething, writhing frenzy.

Kassey Voorn's skill at creating two aural masterpieces from Quivver's work has ensured that "The Fog" has cleared to place a man at the height of his powers in full view.
