In Loving Memory of Uncle Norman - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 01, 2008
DESCRIPTION:
On Monday night, September 29th, my beloved uncle, Norman Hedman, a world renowned percussionist, solo artist, producer, and composer of Latin Jazz music lost his battle to Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He fought his battle light a fierce warrior, while maintaining his dignity, devotion, and unconditional love for family, friends, and fellow musicians.

I was blessed by his musical composition and performance of percussions for the song Black Gold for my debut album. It is because of my uncle that I had the courage to pursue my dreams, as he was the only one to believe in me, encourage me, and inspire me to go forward, with constant support. He is one of the most incredible human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and I will forever miss his presence her on earth. But I will always keep his spirit and passion for life and music in my heart and use it as my fuel to make both of our dreams come true!

Uncle Norman was in the process of working on another fantastic album, this one a jazz/soul mashup with producer Kerry Brothers. In tribute to Uncle Norman, Kerry Brothers and I will be completing and releasing his album. Stay tuned on announcements for the release of that project. His legacy will always live on in our hearts and mind. In celebration of his life, I hope you will listen to his music please visit:
