DESCRIPTION:
Well today 4/5/14 was a rare once in a life time experience. GG1 #4859 was being moved today from the Station to a siding in order for Amtrak to complete a 36 million dollar track improvement plan. P32 #514 was pushing the classic electric to the siding. Like it was staged from the start Norfolk and Western Heritage unit 8103 meets GG1 4859 at Harris tower. It was a prefect meet and you can beat having a GG1 moving meeting the N&W heritage unit. This is only a preview video and a small portion of the move. I was sure glad to finally see a GG1 move even if it was pushed. Special thanks goes out to Amtrak, Norfolk Southern, the Harrisburg Chapter of the NRHS and everyone involved for their efforts in making this day one to remember.
