With a discography that spans only 8 releases he has already appeared on the influential Fragments and Silence Through Music imprints. His sound which is both classically melodic and refreshingly elegant always gives pure progressive house fans something exceptional to look forward to. The 30th releases on Carsten Million's Hyline Music imprint sees Carlos making his debut for the label with his 'The Return To Asuncion' EP. The title cut leads the EP off with some sparkling atmosphere, incandescent stabs and well processed drums. A tough kick drops and the groove begins to formulate as parts of the bassline surface amidst the atmospheric bliss. A short break brings about a hooky arp, haunting vocal gate and the full introduction of a wobbly, low slung bassline that is sure to shatter some bass bins and ribcages. The breakdown reveals a trance inspired synth lead with a beautiful airy quality that crescendo's wonderfully for warm emotional finish.
The second piece 'Py We Have A Problem' leads off with Carlos' trademark punchy kick and some nice foreboding atmosphere. As the playful melodic hooks enter the mix the tempo really picks up. The breakdown features a gorgeous soundscape that's followed by a brief transition section that builds tension with just the bassline and some synth elements. The elastic style bassline hits home hard when it climaxes after the break with the lovely melodic parts dancing playfully over the top.
