DESCRIPTION:
This is the chart I arranged in August of 2013 for the Detroit Jazz Festival arranging competition. The chart ended up coming in a tie for second place with Drew Zaremba's (playing lead alto on this recording) arrangement of Brubeck's Cassandra. The winner of the competition was my friend Scot Ninmer (https://www.youtube.com/user/scninmer08) with his arrangement of the same tune. This recording was made at UNT a couple of weeks after the festival in early September and features Stuart Mack on the trumpet solo.
