Trunkfunk Records sparks further dancefloor magic with The Collaboratory, the fresh studio project that draws together the talents of Sweden's finest underground DJs and production heroes. DJ Nibc, the Berlin-based, Gothenburg-born DJ, producer and
Trunkfunk Records label head is the beating heart of The Collaboratory, grounding all the co-productions in his particular brand of deep dancefloor funk.

"Rymdstungen" is a Swedish expression meaning 'space stung', and no better description could be given of a track so irreversibly infected with cosmic vibes. Genius Of Time's Alexander Berg debuts his Kodak Durantin solo alias for this live studio jam with DJ Nibc, which snakes a midtempo house groove around splayed-out chords and psychedelic effects, punctuated with retro crystalline percussion.

Hans Berg's underground following came of his compelling soundtracks for cult video artist Nathalie Djurberg, and it's carried through his releases for Fullbarr, Kant and Crime City Disco. The cinematically skewed co-production "Teufelsberg Safari" features a descending arpeggio bass and slowly reveals a melodic story from deep in the shadows to create a beautifully uplifting contrast with smatterings of cowbells.

Olof Dohnhammar and DJ Nibc laid down the "Labrador Receiver" in Berlin, and the track is as quirky in spirit as it is in name. It's an angular and jacking house number that melts in the middle for a liquid square bassline and unharnessed old school drums. The track is a meeting of two skilled DJ minds who know to craft a peak time jam to light up the club.

Genius of Time's other half Nils Krogh aka Diles Mavis steps up for the closer, "Huskuren" and it's a literal Swedish home/house remedy. It is unmistakably engaging and a classic in the making with cut-up soulful vocals and echoes of bass music, and a beat that seizes the spirit of vintage house.
