Akerstache - Heritage (of Love) 1985 [Vinyl Rip] HD (2 of 3) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Sep 18, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
USA debut LP from 80s peruvian glam metal band Akerstache.

Akerstache were born in 1982 in Arequita, Peru. The original lineup consisted of:
- Vocals: Arcadio Huamán Chávez
- Guitars & backing vocals: Orasio Espinoza Coronel
- Bass: Ignacio Quispe-Flores Paz
- Keyboards: Edgar Mamani Vargas
- Durms: Yeison "Comandante" Gutiérrez Salazar

In 1984 they moved to Los Angeles, USA, in search of fame. Singer Arcadio decided to stay in Peru, quitting professional music and later moving to Colombian Amazonia. He was later replaced with mexican-american singer Cuauhtémoc "The Sleaze" Cox, who also helped the band with english translation of their old lyrics.

In summer of 1985 Akerstache recorded Heritage (of Love) at LA, with songs they had been playing since 1982. The album didn't sell well for their peruvian fan base rejected their language change. Fans still prefer original tracks like "Patrimonio (de Nuestro Amor)" or "Deslizo (Mi Verga Rumbo a Tu Corazón)". Because of its poor sales in their home country, the album wasn't released in USA nor Europe.

Akerstache disbanded on bad terms in early 1986. All peruvian members went back to Arequipa. However, Cuauhtémoc hired new musicians and kept touring the West Cost singing the songs composed by Oracio and Edgar, many of them unreleased up to that point.
