One of those songs that just sticks in your head. Learned from a Mike Seeger album. He said he learned the song from Nancy Jones, an old woman from Laurinburg, North Carolina. The banjo style was learned from Ivory Howard, near Hippo, Kentucky. Mike said Mr. Howard played nearly every thing in this tuning and a two finger thumb lead style similar to the one I play here, with lots of hammer-ons and pull-offs.
