Every artist boast about being an 80’s baby. However, FLY RAH, did not quite make the mark and is about to prove to the world what a 90’s kid is able to do.



Have you ever searched for a real artist born in the 90’s that was in tune with music, style, art and various creative versatility that would be able to take you back to the Big Daddy Kane era? Well, look no further because Ravelle Smith aka Fly Rah of Natural Born Hustlaz Entertainment is that kid.



Fly Rah was born in the infamous Marcy Projects located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, NY in 1990 to Tolaya Skinner. Growing up with two younger brothers, Fly Rah witnessed and experienced things other people would like to forget. Fly Rah began to learn the meaning of being a realist. With his new personality, Rah believes he has a story that will be able to drag listeners to his music to know him better. “I was raised around music so it was only right that I do it now.”



At the age of 14, Fly Rah and his family moved to the suburbs of New Jersey. Fly Rah began to write to express himself. Little did he know his two cousins, YOUNG MEL and SPANK, were doing the exact same thing. They then launched Natural Born Hustlaz Entertainment in 2004. “I would say my biggest inspiration would be my family. They play a major part in my rap career.“



With perseverance and determination of his favorite rapper JAY-Z, it is no wonder he is inspired by the whole hip-hop culture. “I’m a studio rat. I do the clothing thing as my hobby. I went to school for graphic arts so I got my hands on that. It connects and enhance the creativity of my music. I love to paint pictures. I can’t get enough of creating new things. I‘m a fan of music- in its entirety- so I want to do a little bit of everything.”



Fly Rah doesn’t see much of a change in music. However, he believes consistency would be able to give listeners music that will last long. “I would sound cliché to say I’m just another artist trying to make it. But, I am good at what I do and I have a passion for music. At this point, ain’t nothing stopping me and I just love to have fun doing what I do.” Aside from music, Rah sees himself getting into animation. “I’m a big fan of art.”
