This video is part of a wider project entitled “Monastic Finances and Land Regimes in the Metropolis of Dryinoupolis and Gjirokastra, South Albania (1867-1873).” The project (July-November 2018) was led by Assoc. Prof. Konstantinos Giakoumis with the support of the Network Dedicated to the History of the Monastic Economy, hosted by the Centre for Advanced Study Sofia and the Center for Governance and Culture in Europe (GCE) at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in the University of St. Gallen under the project “Does Monastic Economy Matter? Religious Patterns of Economic Behavior.”
