SHAZUMI is a group of shamisen and hayashi performers formed in 2003.The goal is to spread the understanding of Japanese culture, popularize traditional entertainment, and to promote international exchange through the performance of nagauta, which is kabuki music. The group is led by Katsushichiro Kineya who is a renowned nagauta shamisen player in Japan.
