Artist Biography: MY SILENT WAKE - Silver Under Midnight Biography.

From the south west of England comes acclaimed death/doom band My Silent Wake with their 5th full length studio album. The brand new release Silver Under Midnight features some of MSW's most ambitious works to date. Recorded in only four days at The Priory Studios in Sutton Coldfield with doom legend Greg Chandler of Esoteric. Guest growls and screams from Greg and guest narration from industrial pioneer, Attrition's Martin Bowes both feature on the album along with a cover by renowned German photographer Holger Karas. MSW also release a vinyl album of acoustic songs this month.

Silver Under Midnight features MSW's trademark multi-instrumentation including dulcimer, 12 string guitar and ebow. The song 'The Last Man' will be the album's single and a video is being produced by director Andrew Spencer. The songs have been developing over a period of two years and this is MSW's first new recording of metal songs for three years.

MSW were formed in 2005 by founder member Ian Arkley of Seventh Angel / Ashen Mortality and has featured a variety of musicians. In the past MSW have released 4 albums, a split album with The Drowning and various compilations, and have toured in Europe including 2010's tour with Norway's In Vain. The band have also just re-released a remastered version of their double album from 2007 The Anatomy of Melancholy.
