PRENTICE is much MORE than a poet.

He teaches creative writing workshops throughout the bay area. 2007 SPOKEN WORD ATRIST OF THE YEAR by the Black Music Awards.

HE is the 2006 OAKLAND/SAN FRANCISCO GRAND SLAM CHAMPION. After writing his FIRST poem in 2003 "streets"Prentice unknowingly was signed up to be in an open mic at Oakland's BLACK BOX.After that he wrote a new poem each week while competing to be on the 2003 Oakland slam team.He made it, and along with Nercity, Scorpio Blues, and Danielle Drake burnett( Souls journey) They made it to the final stage and placed 7th in the nation.Prentice placed in the top13 in the nation 2 and a half months after writing his first poem.He recently attempted to slam again and is now a member of the 2006 Oakland slam team He can be found in everywhere from california to new YorkAND SOON SOUTH AFRICA speaking and performing.he does more than just talk on the microphone, but is a firm believer in pracicing what you preach. He is highly active in his community and also teaches creative writing workshops in schools inside and out of inner city communities.Just NOW as of 2006 Prentice has decided to pursue his PASSION of spoken word.He hosts the Bay Area's Hottest SPOKEN WORD OPEN MIC VENUEMOUTH OFF WEDNESDAYS(located at the AIR LOUNGE.492 ninth st.downtown oakland)



He can be found anywhere there is a microphone or a sreet corner where youth are walking unguided.

The truth can hurt sometimes.But.Like it or not

All he wants is for you to listen.
