For most, if not all of Season 10 of Grey's Anatomy, the director decided she just wanted 80's covers. I was asked by a good friend to take a shot at producing a few, and ended up doing 6 of them. The first one was "Total Eclipse of the Heart" which Jill Andrews sang beautifully on. I also did this song and several others by myself and with friends like Gabe Simon (of the Kopecky Family Band) and Konrad Snider (a brilliant producer/engineer/songwriter). This song is featured in Season 10 Episode 20 of Grey's Anatomy and was originally a song by Tears for Fears- one of my favorite eighties bands. I did it in only a few hours and never expected anyone to like it, but they did, and that's usually how it goes with these things :) The cover art is a large painting by one of my favorite artists and friends, James Perrin.
