DESCRIPTION:
This is one of my favorite songs from distant youth. Bing Crosby is the most famous American actor and singer, he is considered the founder of the special music shcool of the American swing, which includes such artists as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole.
In the Soviet Union this song was walking under the name: "In the Garden". Perhaps due to the fact that there was in these years american western "in tune": "The Alamo" (on the events of the revolution in the Mexican Texas), music to which — and the famous hit "Green Summer" ("The Green Leaves of Summer") — is written by Dmitry Tyomkin, our former compatriot, an emigrant from Kremenchug. (But this is, as they say, another story...)
Это одна из моих любимых песен из далёкой юности. Бинг Кросби — известнейший американский актёр и певец, его считают основателем особой исполнительской школы американского свинга, к которой принадлежат, например, такие артисты как Фрэнк Синатра, Дин Мартин, Нат Кинг Коул.
В Советском Союзе эта песня имела хождение под названием: "В саду". Возможно, в связи с тем что существовал ещё и такой "созвучный" американский вестерн: "The Alamo" (о событиях революции в мексиканском Техасе), музыку к которому — и знаменитый шлягер "Зелень лета" ("The Green Leaves of Summer") — написал Дмитрий Тёмкин, наш бывший соотечественник, эмигрант из Кременчуга.
