Seeing as how this album celebrated its 20th anniversary yesterday, I figured its only proper from blasting it all day yesterday to talk about it, or for those who've been with this channel since the beginning, revist it.

The second installment of my Essential Excellence Series will be discussing the 3rd full length from death metal heavyweights Cannibal Corpse. Following "Butchered At Birth", the band continued their growth into a full fledged death metal force, featuring some infectious guitar work, shattering bass tones, sick drumming, and amazing vocals, not to mentions lyrics that just damage the soul and the psyche, and expertly crafted songwriting.

This album was my gateway to not only death metal, but metal as a whole, I owe everything to this album, pretty much my favorite metal album of all time. Enjoy the review m/
