Depuis 2006, MTP organise des programmes d’échanges entre la scène musicale du Nord-Pas-de-Calais et groupes du nord de l’Angleterre et de Belgique.Ces échanges incluent la tenue de festivals et concerts réguliers dans les trois pays ainsi que l’édition d’une compilation annuelle regroupant l’ensemble de nos coups de cœur locaux. La 5ème édition des SONS DU NORD (ex festival Northern Sounds) aura lieu les 7 et 8 mai à Noyelles sous Lens. Parallèlement à ce programme d’échanges, le principal objectif de l’association reste de redynamiser l’ancien bassin minier du Pas-de-Calais en matière de musiques actuelles. Nous organisons irrégulièrement des concerts dans les trop rares endroits de la région lensoise encore tolérants en matière de musiques et plus largement de culture…



///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// MUSIC TRANSFER PROTOCOL is a non-profit label/promotion organization based in Lens, northern France and our goal is to organize and support musical exchanges between local and other European bands. The Nord-Pas-de-Calais being central to many European countries is close to Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom - these three neighbours have unique musical scenes. Even so, only a few bands have managed to gain a reputation out of these regional boarders. We have decided to set up an organization to help local bands by promoting and giving them the opportunity to meet bands from other countries through musical exchanges. These exchanges include swapping gigs, compilation releases and musical workshops. NORTHERN SOUNDS was our very first project based on an exchange between the North of France, the English county of Yorkshire and Belgium since 2006. We have decided to go back to French and call it Les Sons du Nord from now on
