MUSIC KIDZ

Welcome to the world of Music Kidz, an independent music production house visualised and founded by music producer Mr Shabz 4 years ago. The camp boasts forward thinking talent in singer and songwriter Sef, super producer/writer Kaywan aka K1 and Mr Shabz whose individual successes have made them synonymous with quality music in the UK.



Music Kidz have written and produced for raw street talent and signed acts on major labels by stamping their unique quality and standards to the table. “UK started to notice the level of songs and productions elevated with what we do, that’s what was needed” says Shabz. Their independent stance and quality products was noticed and not surprisingly, the camp were snatched up by ROC Nation 2009.



Following this, the seeds for Music Kidz were being sown. The vision for the writing and production outfit grew out of frustration with the bureaucracy within the recording industry at the time in the UK and the lack of hit writing camps. It was this that Shabz saw as an opportunity and not as a knockback as he began paving his own road to independence and an autonomous business.



“I’ve always had a vision of creating a platform which will be able to deliver music from the smallest corners of London streets to TV screens, with a product which is just as good as any other major label” explains Shabz.



2006 saw the beginning of an international relationship forming when Shabz met Beehigh and Tyran ‘Ty Ty’ Smith. This began with frequent international trips to and from the US and taking the Music Kidz sound to the Roc-A-Fella team.



Today, the Music Kidz’ production/writing camp can only go one way, up. Self reliant and a well oiled machine, the business is thriving and has the one thing that major labels are finding hard to gain, the support of the streets and thus the record buying public. This is straight for the people by the people…no manipulating record industry mangle and speculation.
