MUFFX is an Italian hard rock band from Lecce, Salento (South Italy), founded in 2006 by Luigi Bruno (voice/guitar). In 2007 came out their first record called "SAW THE." producted by "BEARD OF STARS RECORDS"(Verdena, Ufomammuth, Paul Chain, That's All Folk), 1000 copies, that had nice feedbacks by the critic and the pubblic. There is also a videoclip "streetmovie" of the single "OMERTA'" directed by Christian Sabatelli (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-WW5czyK2w&feature=related). In 2008 MUFFX worked on their second album "SMALL OBSESSIONS" recorded at the SUDESTSTUDIO. This record came out in 2009 produced by Max Ear (OJM) and GO DOWN RECORDS, an Italian indipent label (Gorilla, Dome la Muerte, Not Moving, Small Jackets, Ojm). This record had a lot of positive feedbacks and the band toured Italy, Swiss and England to promote "SMALL OBSESSIONS"http://www.youtube.com/user/MUFFXmusic?blend=23&ob=5#p/a/f/1/BmMTALC1j4E.
Two video clips were extracted from this record, "REASON AND PRISON"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlnxLPic7Q0&feature=related) directed by the filmaker EDOARDO WINSPEARE (I Galantuomini, Sangue Vivo, Il Miracolo) and AS THE FOXES (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCktprZzh88&feature=related) directed by Christian Sabatelli. In March 2010 the band has been the opening act for the only southern gig of GOBLIN (http://www.goblinhome.com/home.php) an Italian prog-rock band known for DARIO ARGENTO's films soundtracks (SUSPIRIA, DEEP RED).
On March 2012 will come out their third record named "EPOQUE" recorded at SUDESTSTUDIO by Stefano Manca, produced by Ill Sun Records and Lobello Records and distribuited by Goodfellas.
At the same time they are preparing a new project in which they rework and read in a rock way symphonic marches featuring the producer and trumpeter Cesare Dell'Anna.
I Muffx(www.muffxmusic.com) nascono nel 2006 da un idea di Luigi Bruno (anche chitarrista di Opa Cupa, Zina). Nel 2007 prodotto dalla "Beard of Stars Records"(Verdena, Ufomammuth) esce il loro primo album "SAW THE" stampato in 1000 copie, con distribuzione italiana ed estera, riscontrando pareri favorevoli da parte della critica specializzata anche all'estero, il tutto seguito dal "SAW THE TOUR" che ha portato la band ad esibirsi in tutta Italia. Da "OMERTA'", (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-WW5czyK2w&feature=related) singolo dell'album, è stato realizzato un videoclip "street-movie" con la regia di Mattia Epifani & Cristian Sabatelli.
Nel 2008 la band ha lavorato al secondo album "SMALL OBSESSIONS" (registrato al SUDESTSTUDIO) , prodotto da Max Ear (OJM) per la label indipendente emiliana "GO DOWN RECORDS"(Gorilla, Dome la Muerte, Not Moving, Small Jackets, Ojm). Durante le riprese dei brani, la line-up ha subito delle variazioni con l'uscita di Paolo De Benetittis il quale ha comunque collaborato in alcuni brani, a registraizioni ultimate è stato sotituito da Cristiano Colopi. Nel Dicembre 2009 la band ha subito un nuovo cambio di line-up con l'uscita di Amedeo Ciricugno al basso sostituito da Andrea Campa.
Dal questo disco sono stati realizzati due video clip, uno del singolo "REASON AND PRISON"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlnxLPic7Q0&feature=related) con la regia di Edoardo Winspeare (I Galantuomini, Sangue Vivo, Il Miracolo) e del singolo "AS THE FOXES" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCktprZzh88&feature=related) con la regia di Christian Sabatelli.
L'album è stato recensito a pieni voti da molte webzine del settore in Italia, Olanda, Belgio, Inghilterra.
Il brano "As The Foxes" "http://www.youtube.com/user/MUFFXmusic?blend=23&ob=5#p/u/3/OuTW4DQFxuI" dei salentini Muffx è stato inserito nella compilation "Dal Profondo", nata da un'idea di Marino Severini dei Gang, stampata e distribuita dall'etichetta Latlantide. Il ricavato dalla vendita del cd, verrà devoluto per la realizzazione di un pozzo d'acqua in Africa dedicato al batterista Paolo "Zico" Mozzicafreddo.
Nel corso del tour promozionale di Small Obsessions la band si è esibita in innumerevoli live in tutta Italia da nord a sud arrivando anche a suonare all'estero. A Febbraio 2010 i MUFFX si sono esibiti a Londra in alcuni live club storici della scena alternativa Londinese: Dublin Castle, Cross Kings, Buffalo Bar, The Commedy. A maggio 2010 sono stati protagonisti dell' HALT AUF VERLANGEN"http://www.youtube.com/user/MUFFXmusicblend=23&ob=5#p/a/f/1/BmMTALC1j4E", festival che si tiene annualmente ad Engelberg (Zurigo) ed inoltre a Novembre 2010 sono stati headliner nel festival"NIGHT FOR THE DEAF" al Cox 18 di Milano.
A Marzo 2011 aprono l'unica data nel sud Italia dei GOBLIN (storico gruppo prog-rock italiano, noto soprattutto per aver scritto le colonne sonore dei film di Dario Argento).
Il 10 Aprile 2012 uscirà "EPOQUE" il loro terzo album (registrato al SUDESTSTUDIO) prodotto da ILL SUN RECORDS e LOBELLO RECORDS e distribuito da GOODFELLAS. La presentazione del disco sarà seguita da un tour promozionale con date in via di definizione. Contemporaneamente preparano un nuovo progetto in cui reinterpretano, rielaborano e rivisitano in chiave rock marce sinfoniche bandistiche.
