Greensboro, NC native Don KotiX is a versatile lyricist with a unique flow. Drawing from personal experiences and encounters he uses music as an attempt to make sense of things while recording thoughts.
A musician (guitar, piano) and songwriter Don Kotix has released a catalogue of street albums as well as one studio album "Feel Good Music."
While on hiatus Don Kotix has "delved into a number of side projects" including website development, graphic design, video production and beat production.
Don KotiX has worked with a number of NC artists and is no stranger to the live performance. He focuses on his delivery and performs raw on a beat with no background vocals. "It sounds so much more crisp with no backtrack." He has appeared on a handful of collective promotional albums, however, when asked why he hasn't released much music this year, he responds, "I'm observing the game from the outside for a while, being a fan again. I got to get everything right. When I get it right I'll be back."
He is allowing his followers and fans to absorb his album while constantly increasing his catalogue and developing his craft. Look for more material to drop in the first quarter of 2011.
