Oasis' 1997 followup to their zeitgeist-defining "What's the Story (Morning Glory)" is a notoriously over-the-top, bacchanal affair. Fueled by a seemingly endless supply of money and cocaine, the Gallagher brothers assembled a grandiose, often meandering 71 minute epic that featuring morse code, orchestras, and any number of pointless musical excursions. Passages are often repeated ad-nausuem, there are way, way, way too many guitar solos, and there's a general sense of aimlessness permeating the album.

Like many, I've always thought there were good songs throughout that simply needed a little editing. I took it on myself to cut the record down and give it a sense of purpose. Over half the album has been edited out ("Magic Pie" and the "All Around The World" reprise are just gone). What's left is a pretty damned good 33 minute record. This allows us a chance to get a little closer to the record that maybe... maybe could've been.
