John Morgan - Live At Durrant House

This upload is dedicated to the memory of John Morgan, his family, friends, fellow musicians, followers and, indeed, anyone who finds and enjoys this mans superb musical repertoire.

"John Morgan is a pianist of extraordinary talent, versatility and personality, whose musical career began professionally in 1967 when he formed a group called "The Spirit of John Morgan" and rapidly gained a name in clubs, colleges and universities up and down the country, as well as performing very successfully all over the continent."

"In 1970 John decided to work in a solo capacity and apart from performing at various venues here and abroad from time to time, has continued a residency at Durrant House Hotel, Bideford, on the coast of North Devon. At the end of '72 he completed a tour of the U.S.A. and has recently been asked to return for further engagements."

"His present performance is highly entertaining and polished and he has a rare talent for adjusting his material to win audiences of varying ages, the music ranging from classical through jazz and boogie-woogie/blues to modern 'pop', yet linking each song and intrinsic mood with an expertise that has to be seen. It is as an entertainer, however, above all that John excels."
