DESCRIPTION:
Improving your mixing skills and creating a better mix can be really challenging. Fortunately, there are simple things you can do to speed up the process!

Mixing in mono (as opposed to stereo) is one GREAT way to get better results.

Specifically, EQ'ing in mono can give you better separation between tracks. It also allows you to be more effective with equalization in general.

Remember, if you don't want to use a plugin like I did to get your mix in mono you can also:

1.) Pan your master fader L and R sliders to the center (great for ProTools).

2.) Utilize a monitor management box (like the PreSonus Monitor Station V2) and engage the mono buttons on them.
