General Music Overview:
I have produced three albums.
My most recent, 'November Antique,'
is a recording of an intimate live show I gave in November 2007. What music does is so important -- a live performance keeps us in the present, something that's become so hard to do in the rest of our lives. So frequently, we're on our way somewhere rather than being somewhere. I feel that we lose something by not stripping bare sometimes… letting something stand on it’s own… letting something be what it is, bumps scratches and all.
It is printed on recycled materials and uses soy inks. The recording was sponsored by some killer microphone companies, and upped into top quality by Capitol Mastering. I swear it's good. If you don't believe me go listen to samples on my website or on CDbaby.

'Wind Chains'
adds distinctive instrumentation consisting of piano innards, underwater recordings, Irish Whistle, a Mexican mariachi band, tattoo machine, and even a teakettle whistling. I don’t really consider anything ‘noise.’ I think all sounds are legitimate, so I’m always either banging on something or listening and cataloging. I added all of that soundscape to my compositions with piano and voice backed by a great band.

I'm currently working toward a fourth album in the studio with Matt Malley (founding member of the counting crows) to record a few songs with some awesome guests. I'll be updating that information on my website, mollyzenobia.com and on my blog.
I was living in LA the past couple of years, until this past summer. I have played at The Mint, The Gig, The Cinegrill (Roosevelt Hotel), B.B.Kings, cool Gallery Show openings, L.A. Gay Pride Main Stage, Festivals, and many others. Many great opportunities have come out of that, such as opening for the Foo Fighters, and recording a song for the White Stripes Tribute album (I posted a version of it here and you can have it if you're on or if you join my members section through my web-site mollyzenobia.com) I will occasionally have a guitarist or cellist at some shows. I'm now in Boston, but since I'm recording with matt malley in LA look for shows on both coasts.

This is a live recording of a piece that was originally intended for an orchestra. It's on my album, November Antique. Engineered by myself and Chris Wesley of Artistic Agenda.
Frozen:
Track from my album Wind Chains. I sampled some crazy sounds for the initial beat and then went in to the studio with some great musicians and an engineer: Nate Wood, Dante Pascuzzo, Joel Bell, and John Chamberlain.
Fell inlove with a girl:
I was asked to do this for a White Stripes tribute album. I added a verse from one of there other songs to it as well. I hope you enjoy it. You can find this as well on the members section of my site this November. The players are Michael Grate and Tig Pena, the engineers and recording is by: Mckay Garner, Erik Jacobs, and David Resnick. The mixing is by: Caitlin Kaposhilin.
Magnetic Detraction:
This is not on an album, although in November it will be up for free in the members section of my site. This song was recorded by myself and my good friend David Resnick. He and I produced and recorded the version of it you hear here. It was for the soundtrack of a film.
