Welcome back to PGS where we're looking at one of the powerful pedals from Source Audio's Soundblox 2 series, the Orbital Modulator. The Orbital is loaded up with a wide array of classic modulation effects including Phaser, Chorus, and Flanger. Source Audio also manages to give this multi-effect pedal the same flexibility of a rack unit with its thoughtful layout that includes an Option knob for adjustment of 6 additional parameters. The Mod Source dial allows you to change the wave shapes and intensities from sine to square and anywhere in between. Plus you can control the modulation effect with your guitar's signal in the envelope follower setting. Like all Source Audio Soundblox 2 effects, 56-bit digital signal processing and 24-bit audio maintain the highest signal quality possible and the Universal Bypass lets you decide if the pedal is true bypass or not. Lastly, the Multi-Function ports allows you to tap into the power of the Soundblox Hub for additional presets and multi-pedal control or you can plug in an expression pedal, midi controller or a wireless Hot Hand 3 to keep your modulation on the move.
