Oceanside Reverie (ending with the most beautiful sunset over the ocean you've watched today!) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 05, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
In 1890, right around the time he wrote 'Clair de Lune', French composer Achille-Claude Debussy wrote another composition entitled 'Reverie.'

75 orbits ago, a revamped version of this song took the charts by storm. That 1938 version by Larry Clinton was originally sung by the amazing Bea Wain, but countless others have recorded their own version of this song since including Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Kenton, Glenn Miller, Bing Crosby, Tony Bennett, and Sarah Vaughan just to name a few.

I fell in love with the progression as soon as I played it and decided to use it as an opportunity to test out the new studio set-up. I'm not sure Debussy would approve of drum loops and keyboard solos, but - then again - we all have our own Reveries...!

The tenth song from Orbit: A Love Story is my 'modern instrumental rock sound-story' version of Reverie. The video footage was all shot near Oceanside, Oregon during January of 2014 by Laura and Robert Peckyno.
