The girl with the curl right in the middle of her forehead.

Miss le bomb aka Catriona Shaw has previously played on the underground electropop circuit under various spooky guises - lead singer of Queen of Japan, founding member of infamous Munich-based punk club Club le Bomb and a visual artist she has collaborated with many different musicians and performers including Electronicat, Gerhard Potuznik, Isabel Reiss, Hans Platzgumer, Kamerakino, Bulent Kullukcu and more.

Also a talented visual artist, Catriona Shaw translates her personal observations about art and popular culture into sketches, videos, and music. Her comic-like narratives arise spontaneously, as though they were diary entries in response to her surroundings. Stories about life and death, characters from the pop or art world, and animals who play human roles reflect her socially critical but usually also humorous thoughts.

She also designs, illustrates and does ’drawing installations’ trying to push the boundaries of the genre to the limit, more recently where her drawings were utilised as storyboards for short films see here

Some reviews of Miss le Bomb:

"No shrinking violet, Miss le Bomb charmed the crowd with her instant charisma and dynamic performance, with ace outfit, nifty dance moves and quirky songs, using just a laptop and proficient Casio keyboard (a Casio that sounds like a Hammond organ?!), oh yeah, and that cool cover of Come Together, complete with quiet, little grunts into the mic and expansive stage exploration." (Andy Richardson)

"Catriona Shaw, aka Berlin-based Edinburgh ex-pat Miss Le Bomb and formerly one third of electro-art covers band Queen of Japan, just can’t stop showing off. Dressed in red sequins, Elvis vest and a laptop-created electro-funk squelch, she covers ‘Jealous Guy’ (in the vaguest sense) while rolling on the floor amidst us, composes the world’s first and surely never-to-be-bettered musical tribute to budget airlines, and eulogises the act of band-love with the memorable not-really-rhyming couplet ‘Babe, I wanna come/I see you playing drums’. It’s all just a bit stupid, really. But some kind of brilliant, too."

Some reviews of Jealousy:

UGLY WRITING blog says:

Miss Le Bomb: One of those rare and beautiful instances in which wonky pop sensibilities manage to dodge the sand bank of twee and the lake of pretentiousness and land squarely in the hole marked "perfect for my next DJ set". The pretentious decoder says, ’it’s enjoyably amateurish female fronted electro pop!

Listen to Rakehand Dance EP

An eclectic EP telling the untold story of no-sex-we’re-british, jealous transvestites

and cheap flights to dark places. Using her much-adored non-general midi yamaha keyboard,

Miss le Bomb presents us with the rakehand dance, a new step to the beat. Miss le bomb has

created a bum-wiggling selection of danceable mutant pop, messy disco and girl garage with

absurd yet socially-concious lyrics. This pop ain’t for everyone, only the sexy people so

all you fly mothers come on out there and dance the rakehand dance.
