DESCRIPTION:
Michele Spanghero "Natura Morta"
sound sculpture (2013)
citrus, lemon, corian, loudspeaker, audio system

The sound sculpture in its formal composition recalls the concept of still life's (natura morta) paintings, trying however to analyze, through the sound, the vital energy that is still in the picked up fruit.
Two electrodes are therefore inserted into the fruit to convert chemical energy into electrical energy used to modulate the sound reproduced inside a corian made acustic sphere.
