DESCRIPTION:
This is one of the best playing archtops I've had the pleasure of demoing. The neck is a perfect size and shape for soloing and the tone is absolutely perfect both amplified and acoustically. This is a great, played-in archtop by Michael Lewis. It sounds so sweet, even acoustically, and has tons of warmth and strength in the bass. The gorgeous walnut neck really adds to the sustain, and the narrower nut width would be ideal for someone with smaller hands, yet it doesn't feel cramped either. I also think Redwood is an excellent choice paired with the Walnut back and sides.
