DESCRIPTION:
ECC8x Vacuum Tube Preamp/Overdrive
The ECC8X was created to play with a classic preamp 12AU7 valve.
The project includes the use of both 12AX7 (Hight signal) and 12AT7 (clearer and less aggressive) in order to have more timbres and shades.
The musician can choose the valve.
The pedal is very versatile since it can be used as a boost, with the gain knob on 1, or as an overdrive, and you can choose your favourite kind of gain.
It can be used as a light crunch (if you turn the knob towards 9 o’clock), and in this position the sustain is really good.
• With a 12AX7 the pedal is more aggressive, so using another overdrive gives you a mixed and confused sound;
• With a 12AU7 and 12AT7 everything is much more balanced and clear. LA VALVOLA E IL SUONO:

Il progetto prevede anche l'uso sia si una 12AX7 (segnale molto alto) sia una 12AT7 (più brillante e un po' meno cattiva) per avere dei sfumature e timbri differenti.
La scelta della valvola viene valutata dal musicista.
Il pedale è molto versatile in quanto può essere utilizzato sia come Boost, con gain sotto il riferimento 1 disegnato sulla manopola; sia come Overdrive sempre più spinto in base alla quantità di gain scelta.
Il suo compito, a mio parere, è essere usato come leggero crunch (ore 9) , e voglio far notare che già a questo livello il suo Sustain è veramente notevole.
